 | Earlier this year, Grace's long awaited roof replacement... |  | and new cross installation were completed! |  | On November 16th, 2007, Grace celebrated the completion of our Rectory renovation with a rededication and blessing, officiated by the Rt. Rev. Catherine Roskham, followed by a community dinner.
|  | In attendance, was the Bedell Committee, from the Parish of St. Matthews, Bedford who provided a 75k grant, which allowed us to start the renovation process; our contractor, Georg Grap of United Homesteads, who from the beginning, saw the rectory's potential, and went above and beyond to restore it to its former beauty; members of the City Island and surrounding communities, who gave so generously to our Chrysalis Fund for Rectory Renovation. Also attending, were the new rectory tenants, The Rev. Cannon Storm Swain, The Rev. Stephen Harding and their 6 month old son Theo.
It was a night we won't soon forget, which we comemorated with the first group parish photo taken since the 1940's (shown above left.)
